I intended to board the USS Hewitt (DD 966). Spruance class destroyer, our primary mission was anti-submarine warfare, but also a full range of Tomahawk missiles and full of a variety of missions. Our home port is Yokosuka, Japan – the “spearhead” who liked to call it
