St.Nicolas is the basis of the mythical figure of Father Christmas holiday in the United States. The name Santa Claus is derived from a traditional figure of Saint-Nicolas holiday in the Netherlands, Belgium, Aruba, Surinam, Curacao and Bonaire. Unfortunately, the traditional meaning of the festival is almost lost today, the U.S. Santa Claus is a representation stronger and more popular.
