Kannada Sahitya Sammelan (Kannada Conference publications) is the premier gathering of writers, poets and Kannadigas. Is performed in order to preserve and develop Kannada language, literature, arts, culture and music. It began in 1915 and held in Bangalore for the first time. It used to be inaugurated by eminent writers and poets from 1915 to 1948. He has since been ingurated by the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
